Instead of offering another large workshop where I try to get a bunch of photographers to sign up and go to some hotel for another seminar, I am offering an intimate, unique learning experience for a select few. "Party of 5" will be an informal workshop hosted at the [ b ] pad in Mission Viejo for 5 lucky photographers. It will be a condensed version of "the [ b ] experience" seminar where I will open up my home, my life and business to anyone who wants to see exactly how we do thing around here.

The investment is $1,000 for the day which now includes: lunch AND dinner, as well as a half hour one on one session with yours truly.

DETAILS:

Who - 5 photographers who are looking to take their business to the next level.

What - A crash course in kicking ass a.k.a. an informal workshop where you’ll get ideas on business basics, branding, pricing, marketing without advertising, workflow, shooting tips, album design strategies & an attitude adjustment.

Where - the [ b ] pad in beautiful Mission Viejo, California

When - 1 day workshops in 2009 on January 13th, February 10th & March 10th (future dates will be announced in February)

Why - With more and more photographers showing up in your town every day, competition is heating up and you need to set yourself apart from the crowd. Who better to learn from than one of the most sought after and recognized brands in the wedding industry?

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE (Subject to modification):

11:00am - The Client Consultation & Win-Win Pricing Plans

12:30pm - Business Basics: Tips to keep your life organized and efficient

1:00pm - Power Lunch. Sandwiches & Snacks and we’ll talk about relationships

2:00pm - Brand Camp: Things you must do to build your brand

2:45pm - The Album Process (plus the [ b ] way to predesign)

3:30pm - Engagement Session with an actual couple (bring your camera!)

5:00pm - the [ b ] flow & “Photoshop for Slackers” demonstration

6:00pm-8:30pm - Dinner, Pizzas & Salads will be delivered during the One on One sessions (scheduled in the order your sign up)

LOGISTICS:

The closet airport is John Wayne or Orange County the code is SNA. It's about 20 minutes from my house. If you live in a Jet Blue city, the Long Beach airport (LGB) is only about 45 minutes away and sometimes you can get killer deals on Jet Blue. LAX, Ontario and San Diego airports area are all within about 60-65 miles from me, and certainly doable if the flights are much cheaper.

The closest lodging to the [ b ] pad is the Holiday Inn in Laguna Hills. The Fairfield Inn by Marriott is also pretty close. For you fancy folks, the Ritz Carlton, St. Regis and Montage Resort are all within a 20 -25 minute drive.
Just let us know if you need help making arraingments.

Slots will be held on a first come, first serve basis.

A $500 non refundable retainer is required to reserve your day.

The balance is due upon arrival on the day of the workshop. (PRIVATE SCHOOL MEMBERS only have to pay the deposit to hold your spot, the balance is included in your PS membership).
